How to Play

1. Each Powerball play costs $2.
2. For an additional $1 per play, add Power Play to your Powerball purchase to increase your Powerball winnings.
3. Choose 5 numbers (1 - 59) in the top "Pick 5" section of the play slip. Then choose 1 Powerball number (1 - 35) in the bottom "Pick 1" section. Or select "Quick Pick" and the computer will randomly select your numbers for you.
4. You can choose up to 5 plays on each play slip.
5. Choose the number of drawings you want to play. You can choose to play 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 16 consecutive drawings per play slip.
6. Total ticket cost is the total amount wagered multiplied by the number of drawings selected.
7. Save your ticket to claim your winnings.

*The jackpot amount is excluded from Power Play and jackpot winners will be paid in 30 annual graduated installments or in a single present value cash payment.

**NOTE: The set prize amounts listed above are based on the probable number of winners sharing the prize pool. In some cases, these prizes may be paid on a pari-mutuel basis, and could be lower than published prize levels. In this case, the Powerball set prize and Power Play prize amounts will be announced by the Powerball Product Group following the drawing.

How to find out if you won

Powerball drawings are televised Wednesdays and Saturdays at approximately 11 p.m.(ET) / 10 p.m.(CT). Click here to find the Kentucky Lottery network stations.

Winning numbers are published in your local newspapers, broadcast on local radio and TV stations, posted in your Kentucky Lottery retailers, and on our website at kylottery.com or call our 24-hour Winning Numbers Line: 1-502-583-2000. (A long distance telephone charge may apply).

Grand Prize

The Grand Prize will be paid, at the election of the player, no later than 60 days after the player becomes entitled to the prize, with either a per winner annuity or cash payment. Shares of the Grand Prize shall be determined by dividing the cash available in the Grand Prize pool equally among all Grand Prize winning tickets. If the cash value is elected, the player will receive a single cash payment equal to the player’s share of the Grand Prize pool. The Grand Prize pool is equal to the estimated present cash value of the final annuitized amount of the Grand Prize. This amount will be less than the advertised Grand Prize. All annuitized prizes shall be paid annually in thirty (30) graduated payments (increasing each year), with the initial payment being made in cash followed by twenty nine (29) annual payments funded by the annuity.

Claiming your Kentucky Powerball/Power Play Prize

To claim a prize, sign the back of your winning ticket. All winning tickets must be claimed in the state they were purchased. Prizes may be claimed the next business day after the drawing. Prizes up to $600 may be redeemed at any Kentucky Lottery Powerball retailer. Prizes up to $5,000 may be claimed at any authorized cashing agent or by mailing your winning ticket and a completed claim form (available at any Lottery retailer) to the Kentucky Lottery Corporation, Claims Dept. 100, Louisville, KY 40287-0001. Prizes up to $25,000 may be claimed at selected Kentucky Lottery Regional Offices, and prizes over $25,000 must be claimed at the Kentucky Lottery Headquarters at 1011 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202.

Prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the drawing date. Prizes of $50 or higher that are claimed more than 90 days after the drawing date must be claimed at Lottery Headquarters or Regional Office if under $25,000.

Rules

Claims relating to Kentucky's Powerball and Power Play are governed by Kentucky law and the official rules and regulations and procedures for Kentucky's Powerball and Power Play which contain the sold and exclusive remedy for such claims. Complete game rules are available from the Kentucky Lottery Corporation upon request. A play slip DOES NOT constitute evidence of a winning ticket or the numbers selected; players MUST present a valid ticket in order to claim a prize. Players must be at least 18 years old to play.
