Retailer Regulations and Cashing Tickets
From time to time we get reports of retailers who charge players to cash their winning tickets. This not only violates the Retailer Administrative Regulations and the Retailer Licensing agreement, but is bad business practice.
Both the Retailer Administrative Regulations and the Retailer License Agreement state that a retailer shall cash winning tickets "without charge."
The KLC may terminate or suspend a retailer's license at any time upon finding that the retailer has violated the terms of the licensing agreement.
Please ensure that your employees are aware that charging a fee, a tax, or requesting a "tip" for cashing lottery tickets could result in the loss of your license.
This provision has been established to ensure the integrity, security, and fairness of the operation of the KLC and its games.
