A Nicholasville man showed up at Kentucky Lottery headquarters last month after winning $100,000 on Scratch-off.  This was the second time in less than a year that he claimed a top prize.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he went to purchase the Fastest Road to $3 Million Scratch-off ticket at a local gas station. “I had already won $50 on the same ticket, so I figured I would buy it again.”

The man said he went home to scratch the ticket when he matched the number 56 to win the game’s top prize of $100,000.

“I just told a few select people,” he said.

It was 3 long weeks before he could make the trip to Kentucky Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. When asked why the wait, he simply said, “It’s been really busy for me.”

His daughter, who was with him when he came to pick up his check, said he randomly showed her a picture of the winning ticket on his phone to announce his winnings. “I said, ‘are you serious?!’”

This isn’t the first time the Nicholasville man won big playing the Kentucky Lottery. Last March, he claimed a $200,000 prize playing the Money Bag Multiplier Scratch-off.

As for his plans, the man says he will put his money away for a rainy day.

After taxes, the Jessamine County man went home with a check for $72,000.

AR Enterprise #2 in Nicholasville, where the winning ticket was sold, will receive a $1,000 bonus.
