Meet Petunia

Petunia arrived at the Kentucky Humane Society™ in March 2025 with a severely injured front leg. After X-rays showed irreparable fractures, she underwent a successful amputation and quickly adapted to life on three legs. With the care of KHS veterinary team, her sweet, goofy personality shined through. Before long, Petunia was ready for adoption — and she soon found a loving forever family. Meet Munchkin

Munchkin, a 5-year-old Terrier/American Staffordshire mix came to KHS in October 2024 all the way from Florida when her shelter was destroyed by Hurricane Milton. While Munchkin was a little shy at first, she began to warm up with time and love. After a few months in KHS care, she scored big and landed a forever home!
