VP Internal Audit - Job 2218

The VP, Internal Audit is responsible for the development and implementation of an annual work plan and internal audit programs designed to provide assurance to Kentucky Lottery Management and the Board of Directors that financial statements and reports comply with corporate policy; internal accounting controls achieve their objective to protect the assets of the company; policies and standards of ethical business practice are enforced; and operational procedures are performed in the most efficient manner. Uses risk assessment tools and methods to develop the annual audit plan. Ensures that the Internal Audit Department adheres to the Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Professional Practices Framework. The VP, Internal Audit may participate in establishing and executing the methods and processes used to manage risks to the organization by providing a framework for risk management activities, assessing the risks in terms of likelihood and magnitude of impact, assigning a residual risk, determining a response strategy, testing the strategy, and monitoring progress. The Audit Committee of the Board of Directors uses this information to carry out their fiduciary responsibilities in protecting the assets of the organization.

Converts project specifications, logical flow charts, and functional requirements into a detailed application architecture for coding Java, web-based applications. Provides technical input during the planning phase of the project in the form of a technical architectural design. Collaborates with systems development resource throughout project life cycle.
