What he thought felt like a dream, turned into a reality for a Campbellsville man.
Braxton Skaggs instantly found himself $30,000 richer after playing a Kentucky Lottery Instant Play game online.
Skaggs told lottery officials he jumped on his phone recently during his lunch break and put $50 in his online account to play with.
“I just had a feeling,” Skaggs said. “I’m going to get on and give it a try.”
Skaggs wagered $5 on the Triple Platinum Instant Play game when just moments later, he wins $30,000.
“Whenever it hit, it said $20,000 but then went into the bonus game and ended up with $30,000,” Skaggs said. “I just couldn’t believe it. Felt like a was living a dream.”
“The odds of winning the $30,000 prize are one in two million,” he said. “That’s just crazy to me. I just can’t get over it.”
The Taylor County man traveled to Kentucky Lottery headquarters on May 30 where he received a check for $21,600, after taxes.
Skaggs told officials he plans to put his winnings toward a down payment on a house he plans to build.
